Running Repetier-Firmware

There are several firmware for 3D Printers. I used two of them Marlin and Repetier-Firmware.
My favorite so far is the Repetier-Firmware. The Repetier-Firmware has more settings and some specific factors to pay attention.

The first step is to specify your set-up, here is an example for the ORD Bot Hadron:

Control your 3D Printer using a Smartphone

The most popular way to control a 3D Printer ‘headless’ (without a computer) is to add a LCD and a rotary encoder/keypad. However one of my first nice-to-have feature at the beginning of my 3D Printer adventure was to use my smartphone for this purpose. Extruder Calibration

Calibration is one fundamental pre-condition to meet a satisfactory print quality. Assumed the settings in the file Configuration.h are correct, the next step is to optimize the slicer. Slic3r provides a setting called “Extrusion multiplier”.
